For over 47 years, Habitat for Humanity has been a beacon of hope, building homes, strengthening communities, and creating brighter futures worldwide. Since its founding in 1976, Habitat has been driven by a mission to demonstrate God’s love by helping families achieve the stability and independence that comes with safe, affordable housing.

At the heart of this mission are our incredible volunteers. Every nail hammered, every wall raised, and every home completed is a testament to the generosity and dedication of people like you. Volunteers are the hands and feet of our work, transforming faith into action and lives in the process.

By giving your time and talents, you join a movement rooted in faith, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. As 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

When you volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, you’re not just building homes—you’re building hope, fostering connections, and sharing God’s love in tangible ways. Join us today and help create a world where everyone has a place to call home.

Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build is a week-long event. The event calls on women to raise a hammer to spotlight the need for safe and affordable housing. It provides the tools for women to empower and educate themselves on skills used when repairing and restoring homes.
Habitat for Humanity’s Corporate Build brings together corporate professionals from all over the county for one shared purpose – to build safe and affordable housing for families in need of a decent place to call home.

Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge is an alternative school break opportunity for high school and college students. Students serve on the build site and learn about substandard living conditions and how affordable housing builds strength, stability, and self-reliance for homeowners. Students see beyond the home being built or repaired to the people behind it – macro issues on a micro-scale.
Habitat for Humanity’s Apostles Build project calls people to leave the pews of the church and to serve in the way that the original apostles served. Twelve churches, or coalitions of churches, come together to fully fund and build a Habitat for Humanity home for a local family.

Local high school students work alongside fellow classmates and future homeowners on a Habitat project. This is a rewarding community service experience for students who volunteer their time to help families move out of unacceptable housing into decent, affordable housing. The goal is to educate the younger generation of thinkers and doers about affordable housing needs and the importance of financial stability.
Join A Committee
Homeowner Selection
And Support Committee
The Homeowner Selection and Support Committee (HSSC) assists Habitat for Humanity (HFH) in the critical function of selecting qualified applicants to become HFH homeowners. Members support future homeowners through the processes of application through homeownership. Committee members attend application process meetings, groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies, and other community events to support applicants and HIPS.

As part of the support function of the committee, individual members serve as “advisors” to specific HIPS as assigned. When serving in this capacity, the member establishes regular contacts with the HIP and serves as a liaison between the HIP and HFH. These relationships may extend beyond the day homeowners move into their new homes.
